Make sure to check your axels and seals if your still 28 spline
I just blew the right seal. Upgraded to 31 spline Eaton Detroit Tru Trac

I still have 28 spline axles. The owners manual shows 80W90 for the gear lube. Some of the tips of the teeth on my spider gears are chipped, but that doesn't seem to be causing any issues. Not sure if anyone offers 28 spline spider gears.
No matter what, I always add a Bottle of Ford Friction Modifier to any limited slip regardless of make or brand
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

Those clutches are correct but the spring is for a 31 spline unit it will not work.The Marauder trac-loc had unique spider gears that are unavailable you will have to change the entire trac loc to something from other Fords or aftermarket.If you are interested I have a complete Marauder trac-loc from my 56k mile 04 with good spider gears.I upgraded to 31 spline so I no longer need it.
How much are you asking for it? I'm guessing it's going to weight about 15-20 lbs?
Thanks. My pinion bearing is failing, so I am bringing my Marauder in next week. If they find more issues than just the pinion bearing, I might take you up on the unit.
Probably the chips missing off the spider gears caused the bearing failure not good having metal floating around in the oil.

I agree with always adding a bottle of friction modifier no matter what gear lube you use.

After parked a while, yes. When you start driving it mixes in with the gear oil just like making a smoothie in a blender. The ring gear acts like the blender blades and agitates the metal up from the bottom. Pull pan after driving and the oil will glitter like heavy metal flake paint.
