Miles/time?? after sensor replacement, OBDII emissions

A friends Ox sensor needed replacing. How many miles, or how much time, do we need to drive the car to get enough data to satisfy an OBDII emissions test??

    Thnx

    Every state is different.
To turn on the first sensor drive in 5 MPH increments for 30 seconds at a time starting at 25 MPH. You can do that in 30 minutes. In CA they saw cars coming in without sensor 2 on yet. Like mine after changing the tune. So they made that part of the smog test.
That can take from 100 miles to 500 miles to reset. My silver took almost 400 miles to finally turn on. My black I drove for 2 weeks before getting its smog test. Hope that helps.
