Do you have any photos you can post up so we can see what you're dealing with?

My old 03 had this problem as well, no cleaners I tried on it could help. You're either going to have to sand/polish the plastic or just replace the bezel with another piece and by themselves they do not come up for sale often.

I may have a spare bezel. I'll check.

Try some carbon fiber look vinyl wrap or maybe get it hydro dipped.

If you can't find new/replacement, The carbon fiber wrap (buy quality brand) is rather amazing. I did the fake wood dash trim in my CV Sport ( didn't match the light flint) in charcoal gray and it was-is amazing. Roughly $20 delivered on Amazon.

Have hair dryer ready to warm where needed, kneed out any air bubbles, and watch-warm folds at corners.
