    1955 Cruise-O-Matic shift point??

55 Tbird, it shifts at some 30 mph, assume from 2nd to 3rd, feels like 3rd. Way to high. Any adjustments to lower that shift point??

If it has a shift kit, how do I tell, and how do I take the shift kit components out?? Would it be all in the valve body?? I guess I need to find some OEM parts. oh boy....

Any one know of a Cruise-O-Matic expert??

Not familiar with it but if its shifts are controled by vacuum modulator, look for vacuum leaks, vacuum line off the VM or a bad vacuum modulator.

If the car sits a lot and it has a shift governor, they gum up and stick which causes all sorts of shifting issues.

    Good luck with repair!
