    Balancer different bolt patterns?

I am in the middle of an eaton swap, and I was just attempting to put the bolt-on pulley hub on the harmonic balancer. I noticed the bolt size is smaller on my current balancer AND the bolt pattern is different. The pattern diameter is smaller (bolt holes closer to the crank bolt). I believe it is a pioneer or dayco balancer.

Anybody else run into a similar problem?

I am about to just drill new holes in the pulley hub to align with this balancer.

Check my edit. As for the extra 3 I drilled them out to run 6 bolts.

For everyone's awareness I have the dorman replacement balancer. Not happy right now knowing I have to either change the balancer again, or drill holes in the new crank hub adapter. I just ordered a dayco version and we will see if it fits the bolt pattern. Online the pictures look right but who knows anymore.

Will report back if people are interested.

Does anyone else have a 6r80 eaton car? If so how does it run?

I dont think he's Eaton swapped but Im definitely following that build in hopes of swapping a 6R80 into my Eaton car, possibly next summer if I can gather all the goodies.

    That’s his thread
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

The problem was solved by getting a dayco balancer.

So everyone knows: the dorman balancer has a different bolt pattern for the center bolts and it is a different size. Avoid the dorman.

    The swap continues...
