    03 MM timing cover

Help, my AC guy over tightened one of the pulley bolts and cracked my timing cover. when I removed the pulley then put it back on the post the pulley rides on pulled off. No I didn't over tighten it, it came off very easy it must have been cracked before i removed it. I think the guy put to long of a bolt in it and it would not tighten so he put the impact gun on it, unfortunately it's been a year or so since he worked on it I think he will tell me to jump in a lake if I complained. where can I get one, I checked eBay with no luck, there are Dorman products for the SOHC but not for the DOHC. I don't think it can be welded but if that is my last hope I can try that. does anyone know if that part is aluminum or just pot metal? if pot metal I don't think it can be welded.

    what is Costly???
it's not that heavy maybe a kg or so.... but the size is probably the driving factor
I'm in sunny So Cal, Anaheim near Disneyland 92805 can you check the shipping cost?
can you send a snap shot of it?

Notice I used metric just for my friend from north of the border.....
I'll pm you my email address so if you can send a pic send it direct.

It can be welded and hold up just fine. But doing so will cost almost as much as replacing it and probably take longer.

I guess I should have called the ford dealer first, I thought the car was to old but they have them in the warehouse so I ordered one.
if anyone needs one check the dealer they said they have 9 in stock.

3R3Z-6019-AA is a discontinued part. How much did you pay and what is dealers name and location?

I googled the part number I have and it showed the timing cover at amazon.com
    https://www.amazon.com/Ford-2W7Z-601.../dp/B000NS0GT4
I paid $151.25 maybe the part number you have is deprecated and this is the new part number???
I don't know what to think, I guess I'll wait till Monday to find out

he looked it up by the vin number of the car since he is a ford dealer not a mercury dealer??? strange I just googled it again
and TASCA parts has it also
    https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...z6019ab?c=az0x

the picture looks right they are saying it's for SOHC so I am curious now the picture looks like the one on my MM DOHC

oh I see the top is wider on the DOHC version, that idiot he looked it up from the vin number

It's a timing cover, make sure they commit that it will fit a Marauder. If it did, it would be listed on the Marauder parts breakdown instead of saying discontinued: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...Y4LWdhcw%3D%3D

$160 on Amazon but Amazon says it does not fit a Maurauder: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NS0GT4...ype=automotive

    Good luck!

Very typical that the parts department only show for a 2V, especially on ‘03’s.

you would think that their data base would be better then that. but then again programmers are not that car smart, though I'm a programmer but I used to be an NIASE mechanic in a past career. shows my age, it's not NIASE anymore it's just ASE

the part I'm looking at is on ebay
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2001-SV...sAAOSwwWpfSVW2

it really looks like it is right and other people told me that 99-01 cobras will work and 03-04 mach 1 's will work so I wish
i could be sure before I buy it.
but thanks for the reply anyway
