    03 MARAUDER OVERHEATING

Hey guys, cant seem to solve the issue with my 03 Marauder w/ 110k miles overheating. I changed the water pump, thermostat, and a coolant temp sensor (driver side). I also followed the recommend Burp Procedure. The fan blows, the hot and cold air work on the AC. Ive run out of ideas here guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you got the right thermostat. A number of thermostats listed for the Marauder on a number of sites, say they also are for Marauder but are actually the wrong ones. They are for Grand Marquis, etc. which is not the same.

Also make sure the radiator is clean. Could be plugged with dirt, leaves, etc. No airflow means no cooling.

Make sure the fan is coming on, and is it put in correct position? It can be put in upside down

The fan comes on. I will spray the radiator off when I get home from work. I just need to know if I put in the correct stat. I listed it above ^

Is the crossover tube full while the car is off and cold? Common problem is people don't fill the system enough and the COT is low which makes it overheat fast.

Yes it is...I've searched the threads for every overheating issue and tried everything I could find to solve the issue. I'm now thinking it may be something with the radiator but that doesn't seem to be a common issue with Marauders.

Bad cap on the degaussing tank. I’ll almost guarantee that it tests bad, and if it does, the car will overheat.

I spent $60 on ramps and burped it again with the front end elevated. Everything seemed ok, until I took it around the block and got on the gas...temp gauge rose almost to the red....IM THIS CLOSE TO BUYING A CHEVY!! Help me damnit.
FYI I did notice that the temp held when i was stopped but slowly rose when i was on the gas.20201014_202821 (1).jpg

When it's over heating is coolant flowing in and out of the rad? Put on some gloves and squeeze the hoses.
