I Need the Positive Battery Cable....

I need (new or used in good shape) the POSITIVE Battery harness for my 2004 Marauder.
Local dealer says it's not available or even made anymore. Also harnesses for Crown Vics and Marquess will not fit...?
He said the old part number is 3w7214300ca...

Anybody got any suggestions for me... ;-)

The old one got seriously corroded under the red rubber covering so I did see it until it was too late. Which is weird because the engine bay gets washed every time I was the car (very often)...

All suggestions appreciated....thank you, will be back on line tomorrow (Friday).

I had the same problem, I cut out the old connector and put in a new one. I ran into the same issue, (parts not available)

I’ve heard the vic harnesses are the same with exception to location of the clips to locate it on the cam cover studs.

Yup, get one for a Crown Vic or a Marquis of similar year. I have a new one of those in my tool box.

Here is a follow up thought... I wanted to cut the cables and remove the clamp only... then add cable as needed (soldered and matching gauge) and a new clamp... insulate as needed and we are done....
Any thoughts.... I have the expertise and it's so much easier.... Marked battery picture.jpg

Edward Myers... Is the clamp you used from Amazon...? It has like 4 wire holes and set screws to hold the wires in the clamp... looks like a good design....
    Thanks, Architect

Go down by the starter and pull back that insulation. I guarantee you will find twice the amount of corrosion as you did up top. I went thru this with my ‘04 F150 after a new battery and also adding a 4.40:1 gear reduction mini starter to up the crank over speed only to finally see all the corrosion at that end..

New pos harness with new 950 CCA battery and the high torque starter later and it damn near turns over faster than it idles! Almost sounds like a super car turning over.

Same in the Marauder minus new cable but big 3 added, and an even smaller billet version of same starter.

Both vehicles start with zero effort.

The only difference is the one connector with the yellow with grey tracer, which you can switch out the pin connector and solder back into the marauder connector!

I know because I have that harness!
