Marauder at Newark, CA Pick n Pull

Checked out my local Pick n Pull and they have an 03 Marauder. Pretty well roached though especially by the time I got to it. Might have been a few things worth saving if I had gotten there sooner. Some things were removed that they obviously knew was Marauder specific but other Marauder specific things that were destroyed during removal or throw to the side to get scratched up in the gravel etc. getting to other things so some people didn't apparently know how valuable some of those things are.

Oh and the motor was completely gone. Also had a police sticker on the driver window saying it was abandoned somewhere nearby at the side of the road back in October.

Oh, I did look at the bumpers. The front bumper was missing a piece on the passenger side. The rear bumper looked like it might be savable if someone refurbished it.

Marauder at Newark, CA Pick n Pull

I was there 2 weeks ago didn’t post about it because I thought everything was pretty much jacked as you saw. The cluster was still there, and I got the foglights since one of mine is broken and they were original Cibies. Front bumper was destroyed. Someone cut the logos out of the seats like an ass hole. Rear bumper wasn’t bad but had a puncture hole.

Marauder at Newark, CA Pick n Pull

This was upon my arrival. I certainly didn’t destroy anything more. Didn’t have the means to grab the steering wheel or I might have grabbed it.

Yep, your pics look pretty much as I saw it. But the cluster was now gone. And I forgot to mention, there was some kind of rear collision as the reflector and trunk lid was pretty much destroyed or mangled up.

There were a number of things that had me scratching my head. Why remove the storage compartment but not take anything from it? And not even take the storage compartment just to leave it laying in the car or on the gravel ground? Same from the shifter? Except I guess they did take the door for the compartment but from my knowledge, it comes connected to the inner compartment so they should have taken the entire unit instead of breaking it apart. Noticed a number of things like that which wasted a number of potentially rare or good parts. So that made me think a few folks had scavenged the car but didn't know about it. Maybe some crown vic guys or GMs.

For the seats, as far as cutting out the marauder man, the seat skins looked like they just needed cleaning up for the most part and probably could have been removed whole. However, I did hear from this site that you can use just that part to insert into new seat skins by a good uphulstery person. So that is probably why they cut it out like that.

And I wonder why the side markers were destroyed? The pick of when it entered the yard, those were intact. So maybe someone was just having some fun and breaking stuff?

The lights were just Crown Vic stuff I believe. The cluster was gone cause of me. I think the damage you saw on the trunk was some animal prying it open to get it open since it was an impound there is no keys.

Someone on this site who is tracking marauder numbers and VINs, please list this one as a goner. I can't remember the username.

Wouldn’t that just be a crown vic or marquis frame? Seems super common. I needed the seat and it was $15 seat day when I was there but with the logo cut out I said screw it. I’ve thought of getting a Marquis Seat or something and storing my Marauder seats but since I got them with a tear in the driver seat bottom I said forget it.

The only other frame that is the same is a crown Victoria sport. Seats are rare. If I was in nor cal, I would get it.

    Exclamation

BLACKMARAUDER04 - The only other frame that is the same is a crown Victoria sport. ...
And ... The Mercury Grand Marquis LSE.

EDIT: After-thought ... Lincoln Continental Town Car (possibly).
