Help..Starting Problem

Hello All.

Battery shows 12V and all lights are good. When I turn the key, there's a rattle/grind down by the starter, but no turn. Does that sound like the solenoid? If so, is there a go-around (like a good smack with a hammer) or does it need to be replaced?
Or is something else altogether?

Try putting a jump box on the starter power cable. Or smacking it with a hammer.

Thanks for the suggestions. It's starting to look as though it is the battery.
