You remove the screws attached to the metal hinge.

LOL...forgot I asked this question and now feel a little dumb. When I first glanced at mine it looked like pop rivets and no screws, which is what prompted me to ask this question.
I've looked at it again (with glasses on) some time later and realized they're screws...
