    Eaton Swap WOT battery light

This problem has just recently started to happen where from a stop, without brakes and hitting the pedal to the floor.

The problem is that last time I did this, the battery light came on, volt gage read low and putting the car in park, it idles at 1500 RPM.
I changed the battery because it was 8 years old.

Also noticed the alternator wasn't charging the battery while running and putting a load on the electrical system by running everything electrical I could.

So, after changing the battery and alternator, the battery light didn't come back on and everything was fine until I peeled out again and now with a new battery and alternator, I have the battery light on again, volt gage reads low again and when parked, the car idles high at 1500 RPM...AGAIN!

Has anyone ever experienced this with a boosted car in-particular?

If so, what was it that caused this to happen?

Have you checked your connection at the Alternator extension splice?

Rule of thumb, check everything ever messed with first.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Checked the wiring and all is good.
The alternator was a reman, so I have a brand new unit arriving soon.
Hoping that was the variable which caused this.

Was the reman unit a 4G alt? White pluginski IIRC.

Can't with an eaton swap. The pulley will hit the timing cover

Well, this is the tell tale sign that it is time to sell me that Eaton Swapped car of yours. I am kidding. Very odd problem though. Obviously the tires are spinning...... high RPM...... vibration through the drivetrain....... check all the wiring you extended or moved, and CHECK ALL GROUNDS. Let us know what you find. Very interesting issue.....

    Yes it was.
    +1 on the white pluginski!

    UPDATE

Just got to installing the brand new alternator and no more issue.
I tried to grab a DB Electrical alternator, but every option on their website says unavailable.
Tried calling them, but the guy on the phone wasn't much help.
Hoping the famous 200 amp model becomes available again as I would like to have an upgradeable spare.
