    Same Size Tires

I think I know the answer, but I wanted to make sure. A friend of mine is putting a 1962 Ford Pickup on a Marauder chassis. It's a 2003 with the clock in the dash so I think it's a 300A? He wants to run the same size tires on all four corners, so I think he'll be ok because 300A's didn't have traction control. Can someone confirm that he'll be ok with the same size tires?

If no traction control it will be fine you will just need to have a tuner so you can set the tire rpm (revolutions per mile) to correct speedo.

He doesn't know if he has traction control. It's a 2003 with the clock in the dash, so I think it's a 300A? If so, then I believe 300A's did not have traction control?

If it has traction control and he wants to have the same size tires just turn the traction control switch off at each start up.

Let me ask this a different way. If a 2003 Marauder has the clock in the dash, does that mean it's a 300A? If so, did any 300A's have traction control?

300a's have the dash clock. 300a's do not have TC. Easiest way to tell, is look for the TC disable button on the dash trim left of steering column. No button = no TC.

Mine must be an anomaly, door sticker says november 02, I have the seats with the pockets, AND I have traction control. What I don't know is whether the ABS is also tuned for different size tires, if so, running a squared setup would cause issues.

I think the predecontented or whatever have a mix of both 300A and 300B. Like mine is a 2003 and has the clock in dash, TC, seat pockets, power fuel door opening, min spare, rear deck with speaker covers, etc.

Looking at the build spreadsheet that is available here on the forum, it appears that when they began making the DBPs is roughly when the switch from 300a to 300b occurred; this would be roughly around the 6100th MM built with a corresponding build date of around Dec 02. It is also noted in the spreadsheet there is a 300a with T/C with a Nov 02 build date and another MM that has features from both the 300a and 300b with a Dec 02 build date...you may indeed have one of those 'anomaly' Marauders judging by your build date. If this turns out to be the case, may I suggest you get a personalized plate with 'ANOMMALY' on it, if your state allows 8 characters...if not, just use the correct spelling of the word...lol.

Your car was built during the Job 1 and 2 change over. The fact that you have traction control is what requires the staggered tire size.
