    Ford Certified Warranty

My wife and I just bought a 2019 Ford Explorer Sport that is Ford Certified so it has an 84 month or 100,000 mile extended power train warranty. Can I do my own oil changes or do I have to bring it to a Ford dealer or other business to prove the oil was changed? Or can I just keep receipts for the oil and filter as proof? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Curt

I'd ask the dealer. I bought a Subaru and they said I literally only had to write it in the maintenance log in the owners manual.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Thanks. I just hate going to the dealer for oil changes It takes way too long and I'm tired of them telling me I need new wiper blades, air filter, cabin air filter etc.

You already know I am sure the cost for oil change through them is pretty reasonable, but you don't like the inconvenience. I take my 2017 Lincoln MKX to Lincoln so they have a record and that does not leave the burden on me to prove, buuuut, I worked in Ford dealers and many other manufacturers at a dealer level, and anytime we asked for receipts and did not get full records, or recieved obvious just made up receipts, the manufacturers would give in if the customer raised hell. So if you do yourself I would keep all receipts (buy motorcraft filter) this way at least you have something to show. For the most part if you are worried look into what the real legalities are. MAybe even if you want to do the service yourself buy the parts from the Ford dealer this way they would have a record of you purchasing the oil and filter, just make sure their receipt includes year, make, model and vin

You can do your own, just make sure you use the oil weight that is specified for your vehicle and keep records of the maint. that you do.
