When I bought mine in 2005 I went right to work and installed a CD Changer in the console. Never imagined I'd be removing it 15 years later and have to deal with holes from a Unibit and self tapping screws. No problem - I'll just buy a new compartment. Ok..... no problem I'll just search for a new compartment. Ummm...... I'll hope and pray that a replacement compartment shows up. After a year - nothing. I would up doing plastic repair with epoxy and ABS patches, lots of sanding and extensive removal of old flocking material. A solid weekend of hard work and a flocking kit from Amazon and I was able to restore my whole console to NEW condition and I even shocked myself. You just cannot get these.
