    Engine cowling above firewall

    Hey Guys,
This cowling, is part # 6W7Z5402228AA
looks to be discontinued. I'd like to replace mine.
I think the crown vic and the grand marquis (03/04) might be the same?
If so, I could probably get one from a junk yard.
Does anyone know if they are the same, or where I could get a new one, or a used one that is in good shape?
    Thanks
    -KK

I replaced one of ours and had to adjust the wiper fluid hoses. Since it was different, I guessed it was a Marquis panel. If you go to a junkyard make sure the screw holes on the passenger side are not broken.

In 06 they slightly revised the wiper cowl, I believe that part is still available from Ford. Blackened300A put one on his car and noted that he had to re-route the washer hose.

I have one as well, but need to put eyes on it. It's in a different garage that i haven't been to in a while. Pretty sure the corner is not broken

Buy a new one. It makes the underhood look a lot cleaner. I just replaced mine and it made a big difference. I had an NOS one.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Well that sucks, I just went and checked on Tousley and you're 100% right.

Guess I better always remember to pull that one screw in the left corner and not crack the corner off.

Vibration causes it to crack, I would go loosen Yours a bit.

I see a number of them on Ebay sold by LKQ. Just order a can of satin black paint, or Charcoal (matches the interior of the Marauder)
and repaint it. Personally, I'll look at Pick a part for it next time I go.
