There's lots of room in the fenders, the limitation is that the stock wheel is 8 inches wide, which is....not wide. I'm not a drag guy, so I can't give you a number, but for each width of tire, there should be a wheel width range listed, make sure 8" is included in that range

    Nitto drag radial

275 is the “safe” size but others have gone bigger on stock rims.

305 on widened rims and some but not all Marauders will scratch the paint off the shocks.

I bought a set of stock wheels of somebody here. A couple of years ago. The the rear wheels had been widen 1.5 inch each. Because the stock 18/8 wheels are to skinny to run drag radial. I still have them in the box they shipped them in. Stocked up in my man cave. I am going to send them out to either get powder coat in black chrome or get them dipped in chrome. Then get a set of Drag radials for them. But that is what i was told about running drag radials on the stock size 18/8 rear wheels.

So I was told wrong. I don't see a 275 fitting on a 8 inch wide wheel. 285 295 303 those are much wider. But okay @justbob. Everybody widen them for no reason then.

Fine, stay with a closer to stock size if that floats your boat? I’m just saying plenty on here have run 275 tires on stock rims. I never said it was right or wrong, just that it has successfully been done countless times and not many want to spend the money it takes to widen rims.

Any car that makes decent power should run a much wider tread of at least 295+ which absolutely requires a widened rim.

Or better yet take your instigating mouth hole and disappear for another several months like you have always done on here? I dare you to say that isn’t true! You run your mouth every chance you get even when you are 100% wrong because your feelings get hurt after someone calls you out on your behavior.

You seriously need a hug or something.

My Marauder is bone stock just thought it would look bad ass with the big drag radial on the back ..I know they have a low tread life and bad in the rain but i just drive this car maybe 1500 miles a year so if the 275 fits whats the full tire size 50 or 55's ..Thanks

Try to maintain a 28.5” to 29” as stock Marauders are 28.6”.

There is tire calculators available online. You might have to go with other brands to achieve that height as there isn’t too many choices with drag radials.

If you have traction control, you have to maintain 3-6% diameter difference front to rear or it will activate.

JustBob is 100% as usual. 275 is a-ok. I’ve been running NT555 295s for years now. No shock rub.

275 won't be tall enough, 40series is less than 27" tall, shorter than the front
