    Kenny Brown has passed away

This post just absolutely sucks to write, especially since it is for a great friend. Kenny Brown passed away yesterday (4/20/22) after a long illness. It was announced by Cari Southworth on Facebook, and also by Adam Brown, Kenny's son. There are many touching tributes to him on that platform and other social media, and they can tell a tale of a well lived life (and also overcoming adversity) that not too many people can match. I am proud to have called him a close friend, because he was once of the most impactful people ever in my life. He opened a door to the Marauder community, and the car community, for me that has led to my being friends with probably most of you here. I'll miss him.

Check out Facebook for some of the nice things others are saying. I just can't find the words now.

Please remember - Kenny was one of the anchors that started everything here - in this Forum, in Marauderville, and in the car world; for a whole bunch of us.

Some important people in our community were at Kenny Brown's 25th Anniversary celebration in Indianapolis.

Sad to hear this. Although I don't have one of his improved MARAUDERs I certainly drove one of the first ones...and he was a pioneer in MARAUDER tuning. I often re-watch this feature from AutoWeek.

Oh...and I DO have what ended up being the BEST "Dead-pedal' made for the MARAUDER...

Thanks for sharing the pictures, Mark. I stopped dead in my tracks the night before last, when I read Adam’s post. Putnam Park was ten years ago, Kenny Brown Performance’s 25th Anniversary celebration - hard to believe. That was my first road course experience and I’ll never forget it. Ken will remain a legend, especially here! He and Cari opened their doors to us at Marauderville 2. And Mac represented Kenny at the Roundup at Ennis the year before. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers stretch out to reach Cari, Adam, his family and his automotive family around the world. May he rest in peace. You know Mac is going to talk his head off in Heaven.
