    New Fuel Tank Question

I've got a new fuel tank and my original filler neck (which I understand is longer on our Mercs). Question is, what do I need to do with what I have in the picture to get this new tank and neck functional?

This is one of those "if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing it" questions....

    but..........

To me it looks like you need a new rubber coupler and the new neck has to be cut off to match the length of the neck coming out of the tank. or the old filler neck needs to be welded into the new tank.

Looks like a tank for a rear fill..behind license plate. Is this for a 60's Marauder?

I see you are new here and located in NC. In case you didn't know, there's a car show called the Blue Oval Classic going on in Mooresville, NC, on May 7th. There will be a handful of MM owners meeting up for this show; see the thread in the Carolina Marauders section for more details. Drop on by if you are interested...
