    B1484 ABS code

I have B1484 code w/ABS light with the brake light on. It lasted a short time and went off. This has happened 3 times over 2 fays.
This is my 2004 silver with just under 200,000 miles.
    Has anybody had this?
What did you do to fix? I read it could be Alternator needing replacement?

My Silver 04' has been doing the same thing recently for the past week with the ABS/BRAKE lights on. Haven't scanned it for what specific code its giving me. They turn off every couple miles too.

You need a ABS scanner to read the code.

After dealing with this for 7+ months, I decided to take the electronics apart from the ABS pump.
I did replace the brake switch 6 months ago. The lights stayed on.,
You need to remove 6 screws to separate the electronics from the pump.
First, a GM ABS unit will not work in a Marauder. It is not compatible. Any replacement needs to be programmed in order to work.
After seperation, I spayed all the electronics (2 parts) with cleaner. Then I put the unit back together.
Then I had the light re-set and cleared.
So far, the lights have stayed off.

Unfortunately, the lights are on and off again. I will be pulling the unit for electronics repair for $99.

Dropped off the ABS for repair. Received it back 2 days later.
Re-installed unit. All lights are off and in working condition.

This same issue with ABS and Brake Light on is very common with GM trucks 1999-2007. Solder joints on the computer board on abs controller break and need to be resoldered.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Correct! The repair person also replaces some of the items on the board also.
