    OIL PUMP PN NEEDED

I just purchased a new oil pump from the dealer today. after I got home I thought I read that there are several pump part numbers, with the DOHC pumps having higher volume output. After looking online, it appears that I was sold a 2v motor oil pump.

Heres what I was sold: 5L3Z-6600-A

Can someone confirm wether or not this is the correct pump I need?

    Thanks

You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Looks like the one you have is for the V8 and V10 modulars with half the angry bumpsticks.

Ok, so I guess I need to exchange this one. It came from Galloway BAD MERC... Do you know if the correct one is in stock there?

It appears to be a non-stocked item and OEC says I have them in Tennessee. You'd be looking at 5 days or so. I am currently in Quick Lane and you won't find me in retail parts for a few weeks. Definitely have them make right on this and even call and get them to order it. See if they can do an 'E Order' and get it immediately.

Thanks, Ill call over there tomorrow. I assume the number blazen71 posted is what I need to tell them they should have given me.
The funny thing is I handed over my registration to the guy there .... (a bunch of hair and bushy beard) so I assume that he looked up the part based on the VIN.

Ah yes, that would Mike and he knows his stuff. For the life of me I cannot imagine how the wrong part was picked because the last 8 of VIN only shows parts pertinent to that particular vehicle. All the way down to color, texture, and any midyear revisions.
