    Another spark plug question

    Greetings everybody.

    I have a set of new AGSF32PM (SP-493) plugs sitting here that a buddy was gonna use in his '01 2-valve Mustang, but he's not gonna need them now, so he gave them to me.

    My '04 Marauder could use a new set of plugs...but the manual calls for AWSF32EM plugs.

    With constant revisions to part numbers, I'm just not sure - are the SP-493s usable in the 4 valve, or are they a no go?

    I could use them in my '05 MGM, but it has recent plugs already.

    Any input would be greatly appreciated - I'm getting the itch to spend some time under the hood!

    Sorry - I forgot to mention that they are Motorcraft plugs. Their website is a bit difficult to navigate, as far as spark plug specs.

    Jim, What are the Specs for SP505, AGSF22CA or SP505A? I've been using these for years, now the thread size is too small?
    What thread size does the Marauder 4.6L have?

    The only Spark plug they recommended was SP413, or AGSF32N, This is a Platinum-Iridium Spark Plug .

    The cs person could not tell me the thread size or any specifications.

    Any help would be great. I'm looking for a copper plug with a 1 step colder range. Recommended because of the tune in the car.

    I can't even find info on the Motorcraft website.

    So, these plugs were the same as the SP505 plugs. I finally figured out why the #5 plug was different. The cylinder has a helix tap on it. Advance Auto had the correct M14-1.25 thread fixer in stock. You need to attach this permanently . Advance wanted $17 for thread lock. Purchased Harbor Freights’ red thread lock for $2.29.
    Put the plug in today with a new COP, DG543. No more engine mis-fires.

    ^^^ You should have done some research and utilized a lock-n-stitch or something better than a helicoil.

    It will fail just question when.

    This was probably over a year ago.
    He must have thought this was the most logical way to fix this thread.
    This was the second time the #5 cylinder blew the spark plug out.

    NGK TR6 or whatever number may supersede is the one step colder copper plug
    You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

    I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard
