    Rear Deck Seat Belt Clips

On the rear deck of our Marauder's are three seal belt clips under a plastic cover that flips up. I assume these are for child car seats?

I purchased a Schroth Racing Rally 3 harness.

    https://www.schrothracing.com/item/r...ning-Harnesses

I attached the left side to the factory seat belt attachment point. I attached the right side the seat track mounting bolt.

There is another strap that has to be mounted somewhere to the rear of the car. I decided to bolt the strap to the seat belt clip on the rear deck.

This morning, I called Schroth to make sure this was ok, but they said that attachment cannot withstand the force of an impact and suggested I mount to a rear seat belt mounting point.

I'm just wondering why Schroth is saying the child car seat clip cannot withstand the force of an impact.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Curt

I would assume that the child car seat anchor point(s) would work, but I'd go with the racing harness manufacturer suggests.

I was able to pull back the plastic cover for the C Pillar and remove the bolt that holds the drivers side rear upper seat belt in place and attach my harness to that.

So, because I'm not buckling into the seatbelts, the red light on the dash flashes and it dings at me. Kind of distracting when I'm running an Auto-Cross. is there a fuse I can pull? I suppose I could clip in the seat belt and then have it behind me/sit on it. Or maybe I could clip in the front passenger seatbelt into the drivers side?
