    Power seats

The power seats will only work for a short time and then doesn’t work.
When it does work, I can move the back backward, but it won’t let me move it back forward. Then the whole seat unit stops working. If I try 30 minutes later, same thing happens.
    Any suggestions?

My guess is the power goes thru a breaker? If so, try replacing that.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Could be one of several issues: Dirty switch contacts, wiring issue, motor, fuse...

This is the first video that popped up when I searched your issue on YouTube:

I'm going to pull the panel off the driver's door. ( temperature here is over 105) when it cools down outside. I have 2 other driver's door switches I pulled from the junk yard for testing.
What I don't get is that it works for a few seconds, then stops. Then it will work again.
I've looked over the fuse list and the only listing for power seats is under the Power Box (under the hood). Any other info will help.

I suspect the 20amp breaker is wore out and needs replacement

Thanks. That was the only fuse that mentioned power seats.
I believe the correct part number is
    F2AZ14526A.

It's actually a circuit breaker. The contacts will wear out over time. The motors in your seats may be drawing too much amperage causing the breaker to trip often? I'd replace the breaker first as it's cheap and easy. Then, if it fixes the issue, possibly look into amp draw.

The part you're looking for is D9AB-14526-BA.

So, I replaced the maxi fuse ( had several from the junk yard) and the seat still wasn’t working properly.
I pulled the panel sprayed the contacts on both ends of the plugs and re-connected. The seat was working again. Put everything back together and still working.

Well the seat won't tilt backwards again. It will move forward.
Time to take the door off again.

Same problem. Time to replace switch.
If you get one from a junked GM or CV, make sure the plugs are the same.
    I have 2 switches that don’t match.
Picked up the correct one last week.
