    Headlights out! Help

    Hi All

Im on a road trip in my 2003 MM - noticed last night that both headlights are out. One fog light (right side) works.

Tail lights, blinkers, side lights, brake lights all work (so am guessing the LCM as modified by FastBlackMerc is not the problem).

Any thoughts on fuses, relays etc?

    Thank you

OEM or LEDs/HIDs? If OEM, sounds like a possible chaffed wire somewhere. If LEDs/HIDs, could be ballast issue.

Hit the bottom of the dashboard where your right knee resides. Probably the LCM.

I love fixes like this ^^^^^^^^
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

^this, and curious, does your flash to pass still work? If so, that does indeed sound like a LCM issue and normally you can give it a smack like justbob said to get it to come to life again. Many things on panthers can be "fixed" simply by hitting them.

Since you state your LCM was modified though with the external relay, have you tried removing the relay and jumping the two wires (I'm guessing 30 & 87 but check the relay itself for a diagram) to see if your lights come back to life? It could just be a faulty relay which any parts store would have.

Thanks all…when I tried the lights today they came on for maybe 3 seconds and then I could or get them to come on again. Since I have no night driving the next few days will look at it when I get back. Is it pretty easy to replace the relay? Anyone have a relay part number?

    Thanks

FastblackMerc (Jim Marton) can rebuild your LCM
.He’s probably done hundreds of them over the years for members here.

I used to kick the LCM, but I've also had both low beams burn out within a day. My advice is to start with the most obvious thing, the bulbs.
