    Marauder Tires

New Tires for the Marauder. The Firestones are "H" speed rated to 130MPH and the Fuzion are "W" rated to 168MPH.

Any thoughts on the Fuzion Tires?

I will around 130mph at the Drag Strip but only for a few seconds. The MM can easily exceed 130MPH but I don't foresee it.

    Thanks for your input.

I used Nitto Motiva in Factory Size for many years. Great tires for all around performance.

Fuzion tires are pretty cheap. Not something I'd ever remotely consider running.

Are you still running stock size tires? I know Continental has DWS 06's in factory sizes.

Second on Nitto Motivo. Quiet, grippy for an all season, not the most precise steering tires ever but once you take a set they're good. Comfortable, and the sidewalls look good on the car

I'm currently running Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06+ rubber on mine for a few months now. Stock rims; 255/45R18 up front and 255/55R18 in the rear. Stock ride height, no rubbing. They're pricey, but very very good tires. I can mash the throttle in the rain with T/C off and it will only spin for a second.

Only issue is my full size spare. It has one of the old Coopers on it from the front (235/50R18) which is far smaller in diameter than the new rears. I suppose for short distance it'll be fine but I'm worried if I get a blowout far from home. I cannot fit the rears in the front so if I get a flat on the rear axle I'm not sure what I'd do.

THAT^^^ has been the Question since the Summer of 2002 when some of us picked ours up from the Dealer. no worries...it's the same as if it were a "doughnut spare"..limited MPH for limited miles for EMERGENCY use ONLY, if needed.

Ah, good to know. I actually wanted a full size spare on the car (Mine's a 300B. I just got my hands on a junkyard S197 mustang wheel that is the same design as the MM wheels) due to the fact I didn't really trust a donut on a car this large. I suppose if I do go on a very long road trip I may pick up a tire of the same size. Either way, the thick sidewall on the rears makes the process a bit difficult since they probably will not fit on the front. Oh well.

I went with Firestone Destination LE3, H rated.

I checked all my Drag Strip Data and all finishes below 125MPH.

    Thanks for the help.
