Eaton swap and belt alignment
Did the Eaton swap to my car about a year ago then car sat while I traveled for work. Finally, home and deciding I need to get this car running I started finishing the setup. first issue I had was interference between the idler on the driver's side and the water pump pulley. Correct pulley was purchased for this area so not sure what the issue was. Lightly clearance the pulley and all is good there. Tonight, get the car back together to test fire and the belt is walking on the smooth idler on the driver's side and rubbing on the back of the water pump pulley. Question for anyone is one did you use and shims, washers on the alt to the alt bracket or did you just bolt it up? Has anyone else ran into this issue? I have Jerrys brackets if anyone ask. Looking at it I don't see any misalignment, but you know how that goes. Everything else seems to be centered on the pulleys fine and there are no interference issues except this one spot. Thank you for any help anyone can provide.
