    replacing rear shocks

I am replacing my rear shocks on the Marauder...Seems the whole shock turns and using a small wrench at the top of the shock that is supposed to be the place to hold it... I am just going to cut off the top nut....anyone been through this?

I used a Vice Grip to clamp onto the shaft of the shock absorber. I believe the top of the shock absorber, where the nut threads on, has a small square end you could try and put a wrench on that.
