    Big Brake Kits

Are there any big brake kits out there that will pretty much bolt on and fit behind the stock wheels without ridiculous spacers? I have seen Baer brakes on some cars but the calipers on their website right now looks different from the ones I have seen on other members cars?

You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Here is the budget option. It's basically the old Baer kit but with off the shelf, easy to get parts. Someone posted that C6 calipers will work and have less flex.

Oh wow, so the older Baer kits used C5 calipers? Does the TCE kit require any grinding or is it a simple bolt on? Seems like the budget option requires grinding?

So little it really isn’t worth mentioning to be honest.

No, the budget kit that is on hundreds of Marauders, Vic’s, and Town cars by now. Too easy.

Nice! Do they clear the original wheels without spacers?

Yes, and no spacers. I still had credit card clearance between the caliper and the wheel weights too.

Zack's Big Brake Kit is not a Baer conversion. It is a great kit put together by Zack and Jerry. Kit performed great on my Marauder for many years, was able to do Tail of Dragon without any fear of Brake fade.

I had both the 1st gen Baer kit and the Zack/Jerry kit. What would I know?

The original Baer BBK that came out back when these cars were new (the kit they sell now is totally different/better) and the "DIY" BBK setup using C5 calipers both use the same style PBR twin piston caliper. SN95 cobras used this same caliper as well (albeit with different mounts). The PBR caliper was real popular in the 90's and 00's. So yeah, it's not "Baer" branding and it doesn't use a 2 piece rotor like the original Baer BBK, but the caliper is virtually the same and it is running a 14" rotor like the original BBK.

To Baer or not to Baer, that is the question...
