I put Morimoto LED's in the stock housings and they were brighter. But the issue I had was the stock housings don't project light well. I'd say try a good set of halogen bulbs or Amazon LED's and see what you think. The next (and best ) step is projectors.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

SYLVANIA 9007 ZXE Best I have found if only changing the bulb. After drive most newer cars the mm's lights are rather poor. There are ZXE H1 bulbs for the fog lights also. Being a name brand they due last a along time.

Try duct taping a couple of 5 D-cell Maglite's to the fenders.

This will also add to the resale value!

Has anyone seen the video (panther lighting) of the GTR Ultra 2 LED bulbs the work fairly well in our housing, quadruple the lumen output, are plug n play, and follow the same light dispersion pattern (not saying this is great -but doesn't blind others or wash the light everywhere

I tried the 3157: GTR I-LED ULTRA for my turn signals. I had a couple quality issues with them and ended up exchanging them for VLED V6 Triton bulbs. It was probably an isolated incident.

The VLED stuff seems very nice. Have not tried any GTR.
