    Need Marauder engine

I’m new to this forum and any help would be appreciated. I just bought a 2003 Marauder with a rod knock. Wondering if anyone or knows anyone who has a good motor to replace mine. Thank you in advance.

A rod knock? Simple. Rebuild it with a forged crank and better rods and make a nice platform for power adders. Then, at least you know what's inside.

Lots of people swap to an Aviator engine. You have to use the Marauder valve covers, intake, oil pan, oil pump pickup tube, wiring harness, exhaust, coolant tubes, probably alternator and maybe timing cover. Make sure and hold on to all of these pieces even if you get a replacement, they are Marauder specific, obsolete, and hard to find.
Thanks to Darrin @ BC Automotive:
$1800 and it was worse than when he started!

Where is a recommended shop to have the 4.6 four valve motor rebuild with forged internals ? What is the expected cost ?

Look into a performance shop that is a Jasper Dealer and replacing with Mustang Cobra. Keep the Marauder front cover, etc.

Was there some legitimacy to this question? Can we imagine for a moment that some owners can actually count their balls twice and come up with the same number? To me, a used engine gamble is far less appealing than building the block with matching numbers and at least KNOWING what's inside. A rod knock is an easy fix. A rod through the side of the block - not so much.
