High acceleration when put in drive from park

Hello everyone...new owner here...2003 with 83,000....Not often, but from a cold star,t when i put the car in drive it just accelerates as if I slammed the pedal. At first I thought it was the carpet mat, but it's not. The car has normal idle before I place in drive. Car drives and accelerates fine for the entire drive. Out of say, 20 starts it happened twice.

Any ideas? I am for sure not a motor head....throttle position sensor? That comes up on a search..but I have no clue.

Check for a vacuum leak near your PVC valve. If the hose is cracked, that would be a symptom.

I was taught a vacuum leak will cause a stumble and stall condition.
