could use helpful ideas on this one
I was looking into holding the engine crank still so I could torque the crank pulley to 95 lbs. On the bell housing I removed the rubber/circular access port plug to the flexplate - and attempted to hold the flexplate with a ratchet/socket on a flexplate bolt. No luck, so I put the plug back in and found another way. Unfortunately, upon engine start up the plug fell into the bell housing and now is wedged in there, out of sight ( cannot view it with the access panel removed either) .Pretty sure I put the plug in incorrectly.
Any ideas, short of disconnecting and backing up the transmission, on how to get it out of there?
What a stupid mistake.
