2 Bodyside moldings Need to buy or barter.

Mine have needed painted for awhile now. Not too bad but not as shiny as the car. After "flossing" them off this evening I noticed the right rear door molding is not savable. I managed to cut into the driver door molding and will add that to the list.

I need the RR and LF door belt moldings. Any color because they're all getting painted. Will buy if the price is right but will barter with NIB Marauder billet door sills for all four doors. These have never even been installed. Still in original box, too.

I had been searching ebay for the RR, found a bunch of them for the fronts but had a hard time with the rears. Decided to google search and found this place:

    https://www.varsityfordparts.com/

They had them in stock (according to the order confirmation email) and they're brand new, and less than half the price of the used ones on ebay.
You can take your chances and order online, or wait until Monday and call them.

WOW - yeah thanks. No sense playing around and having them break while reattaching so I bought all four door moldings. The shorties on the front fenders are fine.

    Greatly appreciated!

For the short ones on the fenders, input the car as a 2005 cv sport.

That input is what makes the members here GREAT!!! Been here a long time and even though these parts are getting hard to find - there's always somebody that has a Plan B. Mine were coming off to be painted and the RR one was brittle and was cracking under it's own weight. No sense painting and attaching brittle trash. All in I was at 300 bucks for new stuff with shipping.

Thanks a million for passing on this info. I just looked at the website, but don't understand why the price is different for a left vs right body side molding piece. Why aren't they the same price? Make it make sense, please...

Also, would like to hear input (maybe post pics) from someone who has ordered from this website...thanks.

I just ordered and it kept telling me my VIN was invalid. Likely because I have an incomplete vehicle ID because of the sunroof (2MHHM79...). I am pleased and saw the price difference on the two front ones as well. As odd as it is, I see it frequently in my parts department where there can be HUNDREDS of dollars difference in headlight prices and considerable differences in suspension parts. When I quote - I never assume they're the same cost on both sides.

Bad news, good news. My order was canceled and refunded, they didn't have it in stock after all. In their cancellation email they gave me several leads on Ford parts departments that had it listed on their database as in stock. I called around and found it, it's on its way.

Would you mind sharing which departments had them in stock? Thanks...

Here's the email, note that I found it at one but they wouldn't ship and it was too far to drive. I called another dealer on the list and he looked it up at another dealer who wasn't on the list. They were willing to ship it.

    Hello Brian,

Part 5W7Z-5425556-APTM is OBSOLETE through FORD. Our website has been Updated. This Order and payment have been Canceled. No funds were collected. It may take a few days for the Voided amount to Clear your statement.
There are a Few FORD Dealerships showing MIGHT have this:
    Village, MI 313-565-6775,
    Mike Castrucci, KY 859-448-9411,
    Tri-County, VA 434-736-8444,
Crossroads, NC has 2 locations 888-846-7545 and 919-775-2221.
    Thank you.

The part numbers look to be:
    RR 5w7z-5425556-aptm (possible f8az-5425556-aag)
RF 5w7z-5420878-aptm (possible f8az-5420878-aab or -aac)
RFender 5w7z-16036-aptm (possible f8az-16036-aac or -aad, -aah, -aaj, -aak)
LR 5w7z-5425557-aptm (possible f8az-5425557-aah or -aaj)
    LF 5w7z-5420879-aptm (possible f8az-5420879-aae)
LFended 5w7z-16037-aptm (possible f8az-16037-aaa or -aag, aah, aai)

Note: the last 3 letters ptm stand for paint-to-match, in other words they're unpainted.
I suppose it's possible to find paint codes instead of the ptm letters if you were to find some that are pre-painted.
Like maybe ajp for silver birch jp-code.

edit: added some earlier f8az part numbers that were superseded by the 5w7z prefix. It may be possible to find some old stock under those numbers.

My order process went extremely well but after the order was placed I was notified one was out of stock and obsolete. At least I got three and they're NIB with adhesive on them already. The purchase process with Varsity Ford gets two enthusiastic thumbs up.
