    Hood Liner Clip Removal

I need to get my Hood Liner off, is there a specific tool that will get the Plastic pieces off without damaging them? How do you get these things off? If any of these are damaged, then where do you pick up new 1's?

A body clip removal tool helps. I only broke about half of them. Then went to a junkyard and pulled the clips from several CVs until I finally had a full set.

Definitely these are going to be sacrificial. The heat cycles and degradation will make them entirely too brittle to remove successfully.

The biggest problem is the way they're made. They have two ears that separate instead of the multiple ripples on the tab like most other plastic pop-in fasteners. They are more or less a one-way catch so you have to be lucky to get them to go into the hole when they are pulled out.

Trying to upload a picture. I give up.
