Page 108 of the new Summit Racing catalog (sept-oct) has an interesting digital gauge cluster. Part number SUM-800110, here is the description -
"Out Summit Performance digital gauge cluster mounts directly in place of any DIN sized stereo receiver and displays volts from 0 to 16, oil pressure from 0 to 80 psi, and water temperature from 0 to 300 degrees F. Ideal for dedicated race vehicles or that extra DIN slot. It features a blue flourescent display for easy reading."
The photo of the cluster shows that the labels are red, digits blue, and each has a red LED for a warning light. Price is $129.95.
This could be a good choice for those of you who are running out of gauge mounting locations, or who don't want to put on a pillar pod, and are or have changed out the OEM radio head for a DIN sized unit. If you are going to put in an AVIC like Logans, for example, and relocated the climate control panel, this gauge cluster could be used instead of that (imo ugly) plastic spacer/bin, and you'd have these gauges high up in the dash for easy reading. The blue color is fairly close to digitals in the dash, too. The panel has plenty of room around the edges that can be trimmed for a factory looking installation.
