    Highest Miles???

Had a customer in today with his 2003 300A, has 88,200 miles on her. Could this be the highest miler so far??? The owner is an investigator and travels the country. He is working in the area and it was very dirty so I can't comment on the exterior condition but the interior is holding up real well.

He says the left cylinder head was replaced early in its life for an engine miss and axles replaced for bad bearings. Other than that, minor stuff like alternator, several coils and belt tensioner. The original front brakes are only about 70% worn. Says the rears were replaced around 30k due to a defective brake pad. He says he never got more than 30k out of a set of brakes before this car.

I let him know about us and he is very interested in joining us. Says he will chime in when he able. He doesn't want put his ESP warranty in jeopard so he will wait for 100K miles to start with mods!!! At his rate, it should only be a couple more months.

When in doubt, GAS IT! This will either fix the problem, or end the suspense.

I think it's a keeper. He really loves the car and keeps up with his maintenance so the sky's the limit.

    Mongoose is up there too!

Mongoose had somewhere in the 80k range last month at Indy. Gotta love his tag line "bought it to drive on the parkway not to park on the driveway." I thought he should have received an award, his car looks great for the mileage.

There was one for sale in TX a few months ago that had 90k.
    (#6178 in black per FPIC)
Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

    Rest In Peace:
    Alex "Marauderboi" Vachon 3/2/92-8/13/10
    Paula Babineau 1/9/67-8/2/11
    Rex Weinbender
    Peter

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.
