    Cool Front Coil Spring Insulators

Has anyone else had a problem with a lot of squeaking comming from the front suspension? I've had them replaced, but it still does it, and the dealer said there WAS a bulletin posted about those insulators. Anyone have a solution? -Matt

Howdy, and welcome to the board. I can't answer your question about the suspension, but I need to ask: Have you considered that the squeak isn't coming from the suspension? A lot of people here have complained of front squeaks that turned out to be from the hood latch. I had that myself. It can sound like it's coming from the suspension since it's coming from the front end. Just a thought.

    Matt,

On rare occasions, usually very quiet, windows rolled up, extremely slow speeds, 5mph and below, or going over dirt/gravel road (entrance to a nearby dragstrip) I have noticed very tiny little squeaks coming from the front end. Who knows what it is? I don't really pay much attention.

Any other time I usually have the windows rolled down and I'm at WOT, or I'm lined up next to CRUZTAKER at a dragstrip...I don't hear anything. The car performs perfectly every single time I take it out and beat the living piss out of it. I couldn't have asked for anything more out of a car. So I figure...so what if it squeaks a little. I can hardly hear it anyway.

I had a squeak but it wasn't from the suspension. The rubber stops on the hood need grease on the surface....axle grease works. Mine was the same and it went away after a small dab of grease on the 2 rubber stops. On top of that, give 'em a 1/4 turn ounterclockwise...helps also.

I posed this question few weeks ago and I returned to my purchasing dealer who also could not find this sqeaking noise. Following another forum members advise here, I lubed my hood dampers and still unfortunately not luck

A tech guy over at Ford told me the sound might be my front bumper,

Incidently, I met a guy this morning here in Long Island (Lawrence/Cedeahurst area) with an 03 blue Marauder who also experienced the squeaking/chirping noise. My hearing is so attuned that even with my radio on low, I can hear it.

I had the "squeak." Mine was the rubber hood stops. Grease + adjustment = no more problemo.
