How the heck do you get to the headlights to replace them?
Anyone have some pictures or instructions?

Remove 3 plastic retainers from shroud. They have a + mark on them. Lift out shroud. Reach into rear of headlight and grab the lamp housing and turn counter clockwise to remove. Pull blown bulb.Originally Posted by Kramer
Do not touch the new bulb with your hands or anything with oil on it. I wash my hands with dish soap first then pick up the bulb w/ a clean kleenex.
Reseat the lamp holder and make sure the foam gasket is not pinched or you will end up w/ fogging and moisture inside.
Really no pictures a required, it is very straight forward.

Plus, the procedure is in the owner's manual, with illustrations.

Replacing the headlights wasn't that easy due to limited room and not getting my hands in far enough to remove the bulb holders not to mention the bulbs themselves.
Three beers later I finally figured removing the whole headlight unit was the best option. Not as bad as it sounds, . .
Remove the plastic cover that is over the radiator.
A long screwdriver or small socket will work - don't know the size socket, screwdriver method used.
One screw at the top fender side of each headlight unit, and two on the bottom.
Remove the screws completely and the headlight will slide out towards the front of the car.
Un-screw the bulb holder on the back of the headlight unit and pull the wire harness from the bulb.
Remove the bulb.
Repeat for the other side.
-Use caution removing the headlights as it takes a little pushing/pulling to remove as well as re-installing.
This method also made it easier to not touch the new bulbs prior to installation due to more available room.
Total time was about 30 minutes.
Not a scratch anywhere, . .Bonus! ! !
Good luck!!!
OMG!!! I'd miss staging if I took that long!Originally Posted by MM2004
J/K of course. The more you take them out the better you get. I always pull my left headlight when I race. I can have it out in less than 2 minutes, and that includes dropping one screw in the grass, looking for it, cussing, drinking a cold one, and finding it.
The instructions for servicing ALL of the lights on the MM are in detail in the owners manual as well.
Attempting to swap bulbs with the lenses still in the car is a real PITA.

Two minutes??? Damn, your good! The thirty minutes was three cold ones, scratching my_ss, cussing, staring and R&R.
Attach a magnet to your tools so the screws won't be dropped. Extra time for another cold one!
I love the way you think!Originally Posted by MM2004
As for the magnet trick, pick up this inexpensive tool, it has saved my a more than once:
