    Anyone with brakes upgraded!

If anyone has upgraded the brakes on their car, I would love to ask a few questions. Thanks.

We're all gonna have to do this someday, why not ask anyway?

I've been looking at upgrades, and I like the "Baer-Claw" kit. I'm also taking good advice to upgrade the rears, and I like to look of red calipers all around.

I don't know about you guys, but I do wish my MM would stop better. Brakes heat up fast, and I have "felt" some fade that I'm not happy about. Of course, I do a lot of bumper to bumper city traffic too, so, I'll be upgrading when I reach around 10k miles or so. Finances should be in order by then.

Very nice. Did you get the system all around and what size is the front and rear rotors? Did you install this kit yourself? And what would I expect to lay out for the job$. Any feedback is appreciated.

    Here's a high level overview

PBR 2 piston caliper (same calipers as on the C5 )
    14 inch rotors 1 1/4 inch thick
    Stainless steel lines
    High performance pads

Total price is $1095 plus an additional 120 if you want the rotors slotted.

Rear rotors slotted and zinc washed around 250.

Installation is easy for any brake shop to do...

mensrea: will these brakes work with the stock 18" tires or do you need the 19' or 20" tires?
