Question Water runs down fireWall over cat. converters.

Logan and all, Washing bird poop off hood and noticed a sizzeling sound - water runs behind hood, down firewall and over the cat. converters. Is this normal ? I am thinking that when the big rains come in several months or I go to a no touch car wash the hot pipes and cats. will pick up oxidation (rust) and soap residual. Any comments. Thanks......

Hadn't noticed that, but then, I've only had to wash the M a few times and the car was cold each time...

I have also noticed this. It really is loud when the water first hits.

Theirs no seal on the hood or cowl? If their isn't , watch out around the fall season, leaves and other debris may be a problem.
