SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! (arp 24) STOMP

South Texas Organization of Marauders and Panthers is having a little get together at Houston Raceway Park Sunday, April 24, 2005.

We are going to meet for a late lunch Sunday around 2:30, and proceed over the track around 4 PM or so.... HRP has Green Light racing this Sunday, a lot like safe street night on fridays, but it should be less crowded. Entry is 15 to race and 10 to spectate (IIRC). And you can make as many passes as you like.

If you want to you, please RSVP with me so we can get a head count in for the number of cars.

    So Far:
    Wchain (me)
    Marauder307
    Deadvic
    Rauder

Anyone else? Ross? 00 Aggie? Bryan?

We're going to meet at Cracker Barrel at I-10 and garth Road, at 2:30 PM for a late lunch.

Coming from Houston, take I-10 East to Exit 792, garth road. Take a left (head North) at the stoplight, and go under the freeway. You will pass a Jackin the Box and Whataburger. After, you will see the parking lot for Cracker Barrel.

We'll meet there at 2:30 for lunch and then head over to the track afterwards!

    See ya!

Hi guys...great day at the track! Here's the pics I took with my cam-phone...they're a little small but they're still good.

I'm glad I was able to at least make this trip down there...it was good meeting John (JohnE), Wes (wchain), Sam (Rauder), and Bryan (don't remember his screenname..Sorry man!). Even though I didn't run (hey, I'm a wimp...what can I say?), this still has to be one of the high points of my time here in TX!

Had some fun on the trip home...an Escort ZX2 decided to play tag on the interstate. I think he couldn't decide if I was the "po-po" or not...I left him to wonder.

    Y'all stay in touch!

yes, this is something I'd like to do a lot more of. Next time I'd like to try the 1/8 mile given my current setup.

still can't believe I beat a Camero SS (even though its cause he missed a shift).

    later guys.
