Full Size Spare Tire Hold Down Bolt and Nut

For those 300B and '04 owners who get a full size wheel for the spare the part number for the special bolt and plastic retainer is 3W3Z-1448-AA. It is refered to as a "Bolt". List price is $65.03 (ouch). I know you can use the old one, but this has the special black plastic barrel hold down thing for reaching up under the wheel to losen it. You can't get the plastic part without the bolt too. In case there is someone else out there as finicky as me when re-contenting.........

ON the full size spare just turn it up side down and use the existing stuff. Thats what I did and it works fine. Save you money.

Thanks, Dave. I guess then I won't tell you how only the 300A's with the full size spare have a Marauder specific tire changing instruction sheet. It says Marauder in big letters and is two sided color, and how if you take one down to Kinkos and have it copied and laminated it looks just like the original one...I know, I know, I am getting too anal about all this.... You and Susan are planing an intervention, I just know it!

You figured us out. You are good at your job.... Although if you really think about it, if there was any intervention susan could have done in the past.. dont you think she would have tried it?

    So, your 300b's are really 300 a/b/c's?

Thats What I did, one CVPI Steel Wheel and a 225/60R16 with a new Firehawk PV41, that'll do me! Nice to have a full sized spare back there....
