Unhappy Wtr. down firewall over Cats. & Rear bumper bulge

Today and tomorrow morning Diablo Lincoln Mercury, Concord, CA is doing final fix-it on...

Rear bumper pushing out in middle from air pressure under the 03MM - unless fixed in 3-4 months I see big problem. As for the thin paint on left bumper side - they only will paint it per Dennis Guila the service consultant.
They are going to add some reinforcement to stop the bulging out from the air pressure- hope it works ---I'll take pic's. and post them for you all to see.

As for the wash and rain water running down the firewall over the hot cat. converts. ( make sizzleing & popping sounds ) They said it's normal and not to worry per Dennis. I hope he is right.

    More after 11:00 tomorrow !

Wink Water on Cats. and Rear bumper pushed out.

Just got it back from Diablo Lincoln Mercury this AM from Dennis Guila their happy and outgoing top service consultant --- There is no fix for water running down firewall over cats. they said its normal!

As to the air pressure pushing the rear bumper out - The sharp & talented service mechanic Chuck Hall drilled a hole in bottom of bumper cover on the lip in the middle and put a bracket that he made himself, from there to the free connection on the middle of the actual steel bumper...it appears that Ford put a connector on the steel part and not in the middle of the plastic bumper cover. Perhaps the next run will have it in as without it bumper pushs out 4" and more.

It's soooo great to have it back

    Question

Hwve any of you checked with your dealers as to water over the Cats. and if so what was their answer.

Also do any of you have a 3rd support in the middle of the back bumper becides the two on either side ????? If so perhaps it means in a newer production run Ford has added the correct middle support !!!

Where do dealers call or look to find answers to new car problems ? Anyone know ?
