Thumbs up Information about an upcoming car show and FREE racing.

I would like to invite my fellow Lone Star Cougar Club members to a car show and drag racing event that I'm holding at my dealership, North Texas Nissan, in Corinth, Texas.
(This is located right on 35E just South of Denton TX...)
We'll have a car show from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the dealership (I'll have all of my Cougars there) and then we'll hand out free vouchers to get into Denton Dragway. The voucher will include a tech card so that those who want to race, can!

Please help me get the word to other Cougar/Mustang owners. I'd love to see my fellow Cougar owners come out!

If you have any questions, please call me at 817-267-6411 You can also reply to this email address.

    Thanks,

    Rob Celedonia

    Later info

Show begins at 2 PM--ends at 4 PM--expect about 200 cars--come as early as noon--big crowd expected---caravan to Denton Dragway from the show---race til you drop--FREE--See you there, Rod--shine up that DTR!!! Anybody that can make it, please show up for the show at least---no racing if you don't attend the show--1/8th mile isn't our best arena, but at least you can work on your reaction time--Let's have some fun--you've all got my cell phone #--let me know if you are coming---Maury

    You folks missed some fun

Redster, Vortex and I made the car show--great turn-out. It really brought a point home----we are a rare breed and a lot of people like our cars---there must have been 50 or more Mustangs and a bunch of Corvettes--you got tired of looking at them---I'd rather have a rarity than a 1 of a million--IMHO. Then, Rod and I went to Denton Raceway --when we got there, Crowdog ( Chris) from Oklahoma was waiting for us. Rod didn't run, but Chris and I managed to run together--he beat me--my 10.1 to his 9.7 (I think)--my best were 2 runs at 9.91--my car doesn't like 1/8 mile tracks . I left early, so Rod or Chris will have to fill in from there. Jack, the track operator, owns a 2003 300A and was pleased to see us. If a group of 10 or so want to run together and against others, he will be glad to help us get time and have his starters allow us to race each other. Might be fun. See you all at the LSCC Christmas Party---have a Happy Thanksgiving, Maury

I had great night and ended up making 5 passes down the track and thanks to the Xcal2 I was finally abale to get some consistancey from my Marauder. All 5 passes were within .02 sec at 60',330' and 1/8th and all at 74 mph. The pass with Maury was actually a 9.64.
