AMS has daily drivers, snow or shine, that do 30+ lbs every day. You'd be suprised. AFAIK - the transmissions are another topic...

    OMG!!!!

I can't stand Ricers,.....BUT that Mutha runs like a friggin' ROCKET!

The only thing that could run with it was the Blown Z06 Vette!

I'm sure that transmissions, clutches and CV joints don't last too long but that's the price you pay when you can run 9's with a 4 banger!

The ams evo in the srvidz is not the same thats a black one the one in the other two links is silver. The black one has run a few guys in Florida most of those videos are there. But it has also run an srt-10 viper with a blower and was pulling it when the viper quit. It's only loss that I can remember seeing was a trailored old school Camaro with a big block and a 300 shot.

The black Evo --- those videos are from going back to FL from IL. The engine was still being "Broken in."

Wow, I didnt know his engine was still being "broken in" during those races. I guess he didnt wait too long to upgrade. His new setup got him 826 whp and 597 ft/lbs. Apparently they are not done tuning, from the thread I saw.

I can appricate all the time/work/money into that but saying "World Record" It should say "world record 4-dr import economy car" Domestics broke the 9's 2 decades ago...its funny how these kids get EVO's and think they're the fastest thing with 4 wheels ever created.

My take on this is it is fun for while, but when you beat everything on the street where is the fun. I rather half a length on a car at the end of the track rather than walk the track with them. Also lets look at the miney spent building a 4 banger block to take that kind of beating...98% of the people that buy EVO's won't get anywhere near that kinda paper to do it big like that.

    Welcome to the DARKSIDE...

It's a World Record Evo - that's all it needs to say...
