Ever remove the EGR fitting in the manifold?

Has anyone ever tried to remove the EGR tube fitting in the exhaust manifold succesfully?

    If so...how'd you do it?

In my case I have the manifold out (04 Cobra) and just don't want to crack it by doing something stupid.
MY plan is to plug the opening and use PB Balster and soak it from inside overnight.
My gola is to make and adapter for the egr tube.

Yes, I opened up the inner fender and was able to get a wrench in there and have a pretty decent swing.

You must also take the rear nuts of the airbox off to get the inner fender to flex this much.

That nut comes right off from underneath the car.
Or you can take the steering shaft off via 1 10mm bolt and get it from the top.
    Reinhart sells the adapter.

Anyone else notice my fat fingers and dislexia kicking in?
Thanks guys. I'm doing the manifolds a week from Friday and the exhaust goes on the 21st.
If my brain is working right it looks to me like the placement of the egr to manifold adapter fitting on the Cobra manifold is about straight down from the MM stock manifold about 3 inches. Can anyone confirm this?

Those be some great shots! And a fantastic tip, Rider.
I'm looking to remove the adapter that the tube nut connects to, though. I have the manifold off the car, well the car it originally came from... I'll leave the stocker alone.
