Absolutely great gathering! The ride down was nice, and the ride back was good, but all those cars in line on the twisty country roads was a blast, and oh what a sight! Freddy (tour guide at Buffalo Trace) definately made that tour one to remember!

It was nice to finally be able to put a name to a face. We felt like we made a lot of new friends, and are looking forward to the next gathering!

YOU bet it was a blast, more fun than I thought.Cruisin around was cool, tasting all that Bourban was an education for me now I understand the differences in quality. Saturday night was a party of parties. One of the funnier moments is when it was pointed out to Steve our escourt car, that his plates were expirerd Sorry had to mention that.... Hats off to Mike it was a great time.

    My Turn

I am the one that should be doing all the thanking, as without the collective, this never would have happened.

Friday started off less than favorable due to the weather being less than perfect as well as the schedule not being forgiving. It was too stringently planned, and will know better next time.

Dinner was awesome although a bit pricey. Some may say you get what you pay for. However, probably too much for some folk.

Time must be allowed between activities for the motorcade as well as gathering the members together prior to leaving for the next activity.

Saturday started off wonderfully with weather improving as the day progressed. A little cool for me, but at least it was essentially dry.

The schedule was more relaxed thus not everyone feeling rushed traveling from stop to stop.

Dinner was wonderful and IMHO very reaonably priced. The food was excellent, and being a buffet, no one should have walked away hungry or broke.

Returning to the Hotel for the door prizes and sipping was a great time as everyone got to know each other a little better as the night progressed. Many laughs and conversations were shared by everyone in the group.

The climax to this event was Sunday, as there was hardly a cloud in the sky early AM, with the members having their cars washed and spending time detailing in the Hotel parking lot.

I personally witnessed wonderful detailing ideas from many members that will be used in the future.

Visiting City Hall with the Mayor and the Police Officers of Bardstown was a real treat, not to mention the Police escort thru town and being filmed by my Sister-in-Law Brenda and the local newspaper.

Sunday was very laid back as I told many members the itinerary had been erased. Whatever majority ruled was fine with me.

In closing, I had a most wonderful weekend that will never be forgotten. I didn't get a thing accomplished at the office today except for visiting the site that we share to pull down pics and vids.

I believe we all have a favorite story to tell about this weekend, and encourage everyone to post up and share those memories with the collective.

A big thanks once again to everyone that made it to Looseville!

    Best wishes,

    Mike.

Rumor has it that the police are looking for a few missing barrels of whisky.

Mike thanks for taking the lead on this. Diane and I really had a great time.

I second everone else's stories I shared with them on this trip.

Sometimes even the unplanned can be just as enjoyable as the planned. The accidental left turn up the curvey, cut through the hills road was visually stunning, especially with the line of Marauders. Can't wait to see if someone shot quality pictures/vids of the ride, all I have is bad photos, but great memories to go on.

The impromptu gathering in the Lobby late into the nights.

    Etc., etc., etc!!!

Who would do something like that?

As Killjoy mentioned Freddy was the best of the best as tour guides go. He made the experience of distillerys a fun learning adventure. I am not a vodka drinker, but they do make so good vodka at 'BuffaloTrace' and who could pass up on 20yr old bourbon.

The Kentucky countryside is beautiful to bad the trees were not green yet. One of the best parts that I enjoyed was blocking traffic so everyone could make it through the intersections. We just need to learn to double up at the traffic lights and have two road guards.

We are also clearing our schedule for next years bourbon run.

For those of you that wanted to go, but couldn't, you missed one heck of a great time.

I had such a great time it was a little depressing coming back to work. Best time I ever had partying with strangers, but by the end you all are now good friends.

To those that NEVER SEEM TO MAKE IT, to theses meets. You have no idea what you are missing. This is the second time that I have been able to "tag along" to one of these meets. As usual everyone is very friendly and there are NO ATTITUDES. Thats the greatest thing about hangin around you guys. Although I was not able to attend a lot of the club doings I was still able to hang out with you guys on Saturday night (I think). The whiskey or bourbons that were there were stellar(amongst a few other things.) The only thing I have to say is Pizza Hut that late at night combined with as much as I drank is not a good combo. My tummy hurt. Hopefully the next time I see Dennis he will be feeling better. In case anyone would like I do have a lot of pics of our good friend at the Train museum and the truck show, and also a couple of pics from the Saturday evening events. I was totally not expecting the dash plaque or the wax. Which Merc man once I fully recoop I will post on the website. Thanx for the great time.

Good to see you again, Dan. Always seems to be at a party! Nice meeting Becky too. Barry has a folder set up for pictures in the Gallery. Feel free to upload. Clear your schedule for Barry & Jessica's in June!
