    Suspension is stiff

My MM has the Eibach springs in front and I just readjusted the rear air bags to lower it. The front end bounces a bit too much. I have stock shocks and no other suspension mods. Can a new set of shocks help with this???? I am thinking about Bilsteins, I heard the HD shock they have is real good. Any sugestions??

No matter what replacement shock you use, you will still bounce more than normal. Lowering puts the shock on the short side of it's effective range. You are no longer in the 'sweet spot' designed into the shock for the stock ride height. As such you will wear out shocks faster. I'd get a lifetime warranty shock like a gabriel and just know you'll replace 'em every so often.

There is a very old thread here where one of our members was talking to a guy from koing (sp) or whoever it is that makes our shocks and from what I remember he was saying the shouldn't be out of range... I'm sure someone here remembers better than I though... I have eibachs and the ride is fine... I think the word bounce is often used for jolt.

Eibachs are junk and the car will continue to bounce until they are removed.

Well why don't try the Motorcraft Police shocks? or change the front stock springs for NUL/NN(Police springs).

Thanks all, I won't remove the springs, because the look it worth the ride to me. I think the MM looks dumb at stock ride hight. All cars need the right stance to look right. Anyway the car is fine on a smooth road, but not a bad one, and WI has many bad ones. Once my shocks get old then I will get better new ones. I thought about cutting the stock ones but I did that on my MGM and have only a bit better ride. Oh well, sacrifices.

Ok. no problem in my case I'm sick to that "waterbed" feeling when I drive so I will do the first upgrade.

1)Motorcraft Police shocks front & rear.

    2)front NUL/NN Police springs.

    3)Rear HAP/HH Police springs

4)Energy Suspension Rear swaybar link kit

5)A wider of stiffer swaybar in rear.

    6)Addco or Quickor Front swaybar.

    7)Moog front link kit "greasable"

    8)4 new tires

Do the Naake shocks for the front offer a higher level of dampening to compensate for the increased spring rate of the eibachs?

Eibach springs don't just lower the car, but they also should be stiffer springs. The same effect occurs on most cars when stock OEM struts/shocks are retained and only springs are changed out.

I put Eibachs on my old car, but upgraded all 4 struts to stronger KYB's at the same time.

Just curious if anyone has used the Naake shocks up front with the Eibachs...

Fairlane go with the QA1 coil overs from Naake. I have them on all 4 corners, you can adjust ride height and still have a nice ride. They are shock adjustable on all four but only coil over on the front.
