Crown Vic LX Sport (Two of them)

I thought they no longer made the Crown Vic LX Sport, but I spotted two new ones at Don Reid Ford in Orlando. (Yes, I know they are not a MM, but someone may be interested). Don't remember the exact equipment on them, but the:

Silver (sticker @ $32425) was a flex fuel, that could use E85.
Titanium (sticker @ 33840) had the Moon Roof.
(May have the colors mixed up, but one had E85 and one had MoonRoof).

While looking at the sticker on the Silver, I noticed that it gives two Estimated Milage ranges. One when using Gasoline, and one when using E85. First time I've seen that.

All e85 compatible CVs and GMs have engine code "V". Earlier models + CVPIs and Taxis have engine code "W".
    (#6178 in black per FPIC)
Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

    Rest In Peace:

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.

About time they list the fuel mileage for both the gasoline and e85. Fuel mileage will be much lower with the e85 only has about half the energy content of gasoline.

    Thumbs down CV Sports

I also looked at a CV Sports at Team Ford. Very nice package - black with the new light flint interior. But, WOW the price at $34,000 with just a dual exhaust engine upgrade. My MM was listed loaded at $34,000 and I got it for $27,000. Fellows, I believe we got a deal on the MM with ALL the performance and handling upgrades. I'm happy.

You gotta be CRAZY to buy a new CV Sport, what with the massive depreciation both the CV and GM suffers. Better to pick up a low mileage used '06 or '07 and let somebody else take the hit. You gotta figure that $34K CV Sport will sell in the low 20's with less than 10,000 on the clock a few months from now.

Seems to me for 34k you could buy a pretty nice Hemi 300C or Charger (or Mustang GT for that matter).

Very true. The Marauder has held value better then the CV. On ebay

I see 05 Crown Vic LX's going for 12-15K w/ 10-20 thousand miles. Its bad.

The CVS is a VERY sharp car, but not for 32-34K.

Just because a Sport is stickered at 34 doesn't mean that's what it's going to sell at.

Take mine for example, brand new on the lot the sticker price said 33. We came away paying only 20 for it. And I'm still glad we did that (93octane is rediculous around here)

I p/up my 03 sport last august with 33k miles on it for 14K. I am happy with the car except for the horrible Goodyear Eagle LS tires. We have gone through 8 Goodyears and finally switched to Dunlop Sport A2's and they still will not balance correctly. This car should had came with Michelin MXV4 Plus's, at tire that does everything well.

WOW! In that case its a steel!!!! I would only guess that 4K would be

the most you could get off the price for a CVS. Very nice.

Try a set of B/F Goodrich Traction T/As, they have been awesome so far on my car.

    Deal?, No Deal!

I drove a 2005 CV LX Sport prior to buying my MM. Found the car on line and went to the dealer to test drive. They had to find it, move 12 cars to get it out and then wash it so I could test drive it.

Nice but boring after driving the MM.

Sticker was $31K w/8 mi. on the odo. They came down to $24k and then stopped calling me.

Find a used MM and have fun!

I too bought my car new for well below sticker. I had looked at two MM's with 18k and 27k miles. I just couldn't see buying a used car that may have been abused for my business car - especially in BLACK in Florida's heat and humidity. If I would have found an SB MM used, the story might be different today. I'm still on a quest for the right MM and someday I'll find it.

For what I do this car is highly suitable - Quiet, roomy, comfortable and reasonably powerful with tremendous handling for a yacht! At our Trilogy track event in April, I ran 15.71 @ 88mph with 2.223 60' times on an 83*, humid night. This car is still all factory except for the Eibach springs in the front. It's not an MM but for what I need and for the price of a used MM, it works for me.

I'll just keep driving this big, silver, old person's car for the now. In the meantime, there's a Blue out there somewhere with my name on it.
